Orthopedics and traumatology deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. This complex system includes bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves.

An orthopedic consultation includes:

- examination of the patient;

- establishing the diagnosis;

- prescription of treatment or rehabilitation plan.
